The large front yard faces a park-like setting that leads to a world class high school, 2 small lakes and a city pool. Longview Gardens was once part of Clarence Poe’s 800 acre Longview Farms that now includes a Donald Ross golf course, the Wake Medical Center and the nearby Longview House used for weddings and events. Clarence Poe took the “long view” as editor and publisher of the Progressive Farmer magazine that has links to today’s Southern Living magazine.
